Integration Tips
Treated as a new toy, technology integration may be sporadic or short-lived. Find ways to integrate meaningful technology tools and resources in your classroom and they will become increasingly comfortable to use and valuable for student learning. Adding video to lessons is an effective means to:
Example: Large Ensemble/Choral
Exemplary large ensemble performances can be viewed as well as performances of your large ensemble's current repertoire. For example, in January, 2010, the All-State Honors Choir performed The Last Words of David. Comparing and critiquing performances is a valuable learning activity for ensemble members.

As with choral examples above, exemplary band and orchestra performances can be viewed as well as your ensemble's current repertoire. In January, 2010, the Warren Township High School Symphonic Band performed Slava! Evaluating music and music performances is National Standard 7.
Example: Instrumental Solo/Strings
Search YouTube for any song in the Suzuki books and you will get hundreds of hits. For example, when searching "Paganini Witches’ Dance" 156 results were found. When listening critically, it is beneficial to include examples that represent varying levels of expertise.

- provide audio and visual information when still pictures tell an incomplete story.
- provide information that is outside your area of expertise.
- take your students places that would be impractical or impossible in person.
- provide a visual component that will add value to audio.
